After completing Nestle-BAGUS project, Nestle continued to double its production capacity in Nestle LEO project. This project is quite challenging and complicated which involves modification work, demolition work, relocation work, and expansion work. The LEO project install a modern vertical process (6-storey, 35-meter height, 8,000 m2 floor area) that consists of milling, wet mixer, extruder, dry process, packing, and palletizer process. The total building expansion and modification area are approx. 26,000 m2 including the processing factory, warehouse, central utility, water tank, WWTP, social block, canteen, and 2-storey car park
Not only is there technical complexity, but the project timeframe is also very challenging. The total design and construction period is planned to be completed in 18 months and be ready for commercial run. Metric was awarded to provide engineering consulting services on this project, which included design, bidding, construction supervision work, and BIM process management and model development.
